WHY TOTAL ATHLETE PROJECT?
Youth athletes spend countless hours practicing skills, routines, and sport-specific movements, but many are never given the time to build the physical foundation those skills require.
Total Athlete Project was created to fill that gap.
TAP develops the athlete first through intentional training that improves strength, balance, coordination, control, movement quality, confidence, and long-term athletic readiness.
We are not here to rush athletes toward the next skill.
We are here to help them build the foundation that allows those skills to become stronger, safer, and more consistent.
MORE THAN A CLASS
TAP is a development pathway.
Athletes train progressively over time instead of jumping between unrelated classes or chasing individual skills. Training is structured around where the athlete is now, what their body is ready for, and what development should come next.
That approach allows athletes to grow with purpose while building confidence in what their bodies can do.

Meet The Coaches

Bre Alvarez
Founder & Head Coach
Coach Bre is the founder of Total Athlete Project and the person behind TAP’s athlete development system.
She has spent years working with young athletes as a coach, program leader, director, and STUNT coach, with experience across cheer, athlete development, team training, and program operations. Her coaching background has given her a front-row view of what helps athletes grow, and what gets missed when programs focus only on skills, routines, or performance.
Bre built TAP around the kind of coaching she believes young athletes deserve: clear instruction, real progression, strong foundations, and a coach who pays attention to the athlete in front of them instead of forcing everyone through the same pace.
Her education and professional development in this space spans health care, coaching, youth development, and human development, with her primary sport and athlete-development education coming through USA Cheer and the International Youth Conditioning Association (IYCA). She continues to pursue training that strengthens how she coaches, develops athletes, and builds safe, intentional programs.
Bre is also a U.S. Army veteran, systems-builder, and mom who brings structure, consistency, and a lot of heart into everything she builds. She loves helping athletes understand why something works, not just telling them to do it again.
Her favorite part of coaching is watching an athlete go from unsure or frustrated to confident enough to realize, “Oh, I can do this.”
Breanna Nay
Assistant Coach & Merch Manager
Breanna is Coach Bre’s main Assistant Coach and one of the people who helps keep TAP moving both on and off the floor.
She grew up in cheer, with experience across school cheer, youth cheer, and competitive all-star cheer, and has also coached previously with a local cheer program. That background gives her a strong understanding of the athlete experience from both sides, as someone who has trained, performed, and coached.
At TAP, Breanna works alongside Coach Bre during practices, training sessions, and team development, helping athletes feel supported, included, and comfortable while they learn. She is an important part of the day-to-day TAP experience and someone the athletes know they can rely on.
Breanna also manages TAP merchandise and apparel, helping bring the brand to life outside of training.
Whether she is helping an athlete through a drill, keeping practice moving, or working behind the scenes, Breanna is a steady part of the TAP team and the continued growth of the program.

OUR PROGRAMS
TAP is a development system, not a collection of drop-in classes. Each program is designed to meet athletes where they are, build strong foundations, and guide them toward the next appropriate level of training.
From foundational movement and cheer basics to competitive STUNT and homeschool physical education, every TAP program is built around intentional progression, athlete confidence, and long-term development.

A foundations first cheer program focused on motions, counts, jumps, body control, coordination, confidence, and the foundational skills athletes need before progressing into more advanced cheer training.
